Mission
Rotterdam has a lot of cultural capital and a rich creative industry. It is a city full of original, talented and socially involved artists and makers with very diverse cultural backgrounds. Despite this diversity of talent, wealth of stories and proven successes, Rotterdam is still modestly known nationally and internationally as a city in which art, culture and creation flourish. The Agie Foundation therefore sees it as its mission to make an essential contribution to the professionalization and international profiling of makers, creatives and cultural organizations that have a connection with Rotterdam. The foundation does this by supporting makers in the professionalization of their practice, the development of relevant projects and the stimulation of (inter)national collaboration.
Vision
The Agie Foundation strives for a flourishing Rotterdam creative industry in which artists, creatives and cultural institutions make a significant contribution to (discussion about) inclusivity, cultural diversity and equality in society and is a respected cooperation partner for governments and the business community.
BOARD Members of the board perform their duties without pay. However, they are entitled to reimbursement of expenses.

MANAGEMENT The managing directors are responsible for the daily operations, and implement the policy of the board. Matters that fall under this are: seeking new collaborations and projects, project coordination, executive production and communication tasks. All decisions are made in consultation with the board. The management carries out its tasks partly without pay. In the production and coordination of larger projects, the directors are entitled to compensation.
